What is being done and why?

Dunlis Mechanical will use a crane to hoist materials onto the roof. This work is part of project P065-18-083: Dentistry Clinic Renewal.

How will it impact building occupants?

  • The crane will be set up on the adjacent (east) YMCA parking lot.
  • This work requires the contractors to have access to the roof of the building and the closure of the private laneway/pathway on the east side of the Dentistry Building.
  • Marant and Dunlis Mechanical will have personnel on site.
  • Access to the affected area will be restricted for pedestrian safety.
  • Flag people or traffic controllers will be on site to direct traffic as needed.
  • This work is weather dependent. If there is bad weather on the day the work is scheduled to take place, this work will be rescheduled or cancelled, and you will be sent an updated service alert.
