Extended notice of elevator out-of-order

Why is the elevator out of order?

Elevator #1 is currently shut down due to major repairs required.

How does this impact occupants?

The staircase next to the elevator can be used in place of the elevator.

What is being done?

UPDATE: repairs to the elevator have been extended due to the impact of COVID on availability of parts, the elevator is expected to be returned to service March 18.

Based on recent annual testing the passenger elevator is not available to use as it experienced a safety failure. The repairs to elevator #1 will be expedited as it is the building's only elevator, we anticipate the work will be completed and the elevator will be back in working order in 4 to 6 weeks.
