• If you lost an item on the St. George campus, make an appointment to come into Lost and Found, as we do not identify items over the phone or email.
• When you come for your appointment, staff will help you check if your item has been found. We cannot guarantee that your item will be at Lost and Found. 
• To claim an item, be ready to provide a detailed description of the item and valid identification. For all electronics, please bring a paired phone or tablet to verify that the item is yours.

No appointment is required for water bottles. All water bottles recovered to Lost and Found are stored for a maximum of two weeks in the corridor outside the Caretaking Office, which is located on the third floor of 256 McCaul St. You will need to buzz in to access the corridor. Unclaimed water bottles are donated after two weeks.

Please drop off the item with a caretaker inside the U of T building where you found the item. 

Alternatively, you can drop off the item at the Caretaking Office on the third floor of 256 McCaul St. Please provide as much information as possible, including when and where you found the item.

Unclaimed water bottles are donated after two weeks. Cash is donated to an appropriate charitable organization.

All other unclaimed items are sent to the Free Store after six weeks.
