Found an item?

Please drop it off at the lost and found office on the third floor of 256 McCaul St. Alternatively, you can bring it to a caretaker inside the U of T building where you found it. Provide as much detail as possible, including when and where you found the item.

Sensitive or high-risk items

If your lost item includes:

  • Government-issued ID or passport
  • Bank or credit cards
  • Medications or medical devices
  • Keys to residences or offices
  • Electronics with sensitive data

Take immediate steps to protect yourself (for example, freeze cards, notify your bank or IT team). We store these items securely and require extra verification when claiming.

Tips for faster matching

  • Include distinctive features (stickers, engraving, case colour)
  • Upload a photo if available
  • Be specific about where and when you last had the item
