Our Elevators team maintains the 243 elevators, 11 escalators, 41 accessibility lifts and 22 dock lifts on campus.
Services
Regular services
- Conduct elevator safety inspections
- Conduct preventative maintenance
- Conduct annual testing
- Respond to emergency calls
- Respond to general service calls
Special services
- Access to elevator machine room, hoistway or pit
- Elevator upgrades
- Service calls due to misuse, passenger overload or vandalism of elevator
- Event support such as residence move-in/out
- Heavy equipment moves

Rates
Regular services are provided at no extra cost to you. When you request special services, they will be billed to you. Elevator servicing rates vary depending on several factors. If you need more specific rate information, email elevators@utoronto.ca.
