What is being done?

As part of the University of Toronto’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint associated with University operations, Facilities & Services is performing infrastructure upgrades to reduce energy use and emissions. PIVOT is upgrading mechanical systems throughout Medical Sciences Building, which involves new installations throughout various spaces in the building.

How will it impact building occupants?

  • The space will be under the control of PIVOT for the duration of the work.
  • Building access to the affected areas will be restricted.
  • Minimal impacts to occupants expected. Sporadic noise during construction activities.
    • Every effort will be made to keep the noise and disruption to a minimum.
  • Any asbestos work, electrical shutdown, and mechanical service alerts, if required, will be issued separately.
