Join us for sustainability-focused events on the St. George campus to educate and encourage sustainable actions in different areas.

We hope to celebrate the various University of Toronto sustainability initiatives and build meaningful connections across campus as we continue to work together towards a more sustainable future.

Sustainability Office pop-up: Sidney Smith Hall

Stop by our table in the Sidney Smith lobby and try our waste sorting game to win some Sustainability Office swag.

When: Monday, October 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Community clean-up

Join us for a community clean-up at Queen’s Park and together, we’ll do our part to keep our local parks clean! You can find us near the horse statue in the middle of the park to get started. Gloves and bags will be provided. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and sun protection. We’ll have sweet treats available for all participants!  

When: Tuesday, October 21, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Queen’s Park (find us by the King Edward VII Equestrian Statue)

Trick or Treat at the Free Store

Celebrate Halloween at the Free Store! Find a last-minute costume or browse our wide selection of items, including clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, school supplies and more — all for free! Plus, enjoy treats, games and prizes for everyone to celebrate the season.

When: Thursday, October 23, 12 to 2 p.m.

Where: Free Store, Borden Building South at 487 Spadina Cres. (entrance off Ursula Franklin Street)

Front Campus sustainability tour

Tour Canada’s largest urban geoexchange system and learn how U of T is transforming how we heat and cool our St. George campus. The tour will discuss the sustainability elements of Front Campus and the Landmark Project, including the electric vehicle infrastructure in the Landmark Parking Garage, bird-safe retrofits, tree and native species planting, and a walk through our geoexchange display, detailing the technology and giving attendees a peek into the mechanical room.
