Preparing for a safe return to campus

Preparing for a safe return to campus

The University of Toronto is closely monitoring the latest public health guidance and has implemented 12 ways to ensure the campus is a safe place in which members of the U of T community can study, learn and work.

Facilities & Services is working diligently with campus partners on many of these safety measures. Visit the UTogether webpage for University-wide COVID-19 related information.

How F&S is supporting the 12 ways U of T is preparing for a safe return

BUILDING ACCESS

When entering a room or space, members of the University community can swipe their TCard on the TCard+ Device. This device can grant or deny access based on a list of authorized users and/or pre-programmed room or space capacity limits.

BUILDING SIGNAGE

To inform visitors, students, faculty and staff about U of T’s mask and UCheck requirements, F&S staff posted signs in exterior doorways of occupied campus buildings.

BUILDING VENTILATION

Our COVID-19 HVAC strategy has been continually updated to align with public health guidelines and emerging evidence. This strategy complements the rest of the safety measures—such as the mask policy—to ensure a well-rounded approach to safety.
