Notice of annual fire alarm testing
Affected location(s): | 30 Charles Street West (790) |
Service period: | Monday, Feb. 27, 2023–Friday, Mar. 24, 2023, 7 AM–4 PM The end date is approximate and may change based on annual alarm test findings. |
What is being done and why?
Technicians from Eurotech Safety will be on-site to do annual fire alarm testing. During the testing, the audible signals (alarm bells) and the visual signals (flashing emergency strobes) will be activated for brief periods (less than five minutes) intermittently.
How will it impact building occupants?
- This testing will include pull stations and fire detectors located throughout the building including ALL tenant suites and commercial areas.
- There should be no interruptions to normal building operations.
- To minimize disruption, fire alarm bells will be tested AFTER 10 AM. After this, testing will proceed in silent mode.
- Elevator and building controls will be bypassed during the bulk of testing and will be confirmed as fully operational at the end of each day.
- These interconnected systems will be required to be tested once during this period, for which service requests will be created to allow the contractor to coordinate this work with our Trades team.
- If access to your area is restricted due to hazardous processes or procedures, or you need to schedule access to a room or rooms for security reasons, please contact the issuer of this service alert to make the appropriate arrangements at least one week in advance of the start of testing.
