Celebrating F&S’s 2022 OREP award winners
On August 24, the Operations and Real Estate Partnerships (OREP) division held a celebration at the Sir Daniel Wilson Quad that drew more than 600 staff to reflect on the successes of the last year—from awards to new initiatives, and more.
Now in its seventh year, the award ceremony is the division’s way of bringing departments together for a BBQ and celebrating the outstanding work of OREP staff.
This year, 42 Facilities & Services staff were recognized.
“The winners of this year’s OREP awards have each made great contributions to Facilities & Services,” said Ron Saporta, U of T’s chief operating officer, property services and sustainability. “They work hard every day to deliver the best experience possible for U of T students, staff, and faculty. On behalf of everyone at F&S, I’d like to extend our collective thanks and congratulations to the 2022 OREP award winners.”
This event was certified platinum through the Sustainability Office’s Sustainable Events Program that launched earlier this year.
“We made a conscious decision to make this event as sustainable as possible,” said Elizabeth Cragg, director, Office of the Vice President, OREP. “We have a responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of what we do on campus.”
Impact individual award
One F&S staff member was presented with an OREP individual impact award, which is awarded to staff members who have made outstanding contributions that go beyond the fulfillment of their duties.
