Green Offices

Employees at the Office of the Principal Victoria College holding a Green Offices certificate.

Launched in January 2013, Green Offices is a certification program designed to recognize achievements in sustainable practices at the University of Toronto. It encourages office members to work as a team to make improvements in the sustainability of their workplace over time.

Points are assigned to a variety of practices based on difficulty and impact, these points determine the level of certification that an office achieves. There are four possible results: Sprout, Sapling, Tree, and Forest.

By providing this framework of sustainable options in the workplace, Green Offices helps to make environmentally friendly actions and initiatives the norm on St. George Campus.
